Tanya Shah (b. 1997) is a Chicago-based visual artist working primarily in photography and lens-based media. She received her MFA in Photography from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2026 and her BA in Computer Science and Studio Art with High Honors from Dartmouth College.

Shah's work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the Jaffe-Friede Gallery (New Hampshire), Praxis Gallery (Minnesota), and The Holy Art Gallery (London). In May 2026, she was hand-selected by the curator for a solo exhibition at the Inspiration Gallery at Ascension Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Chicago. She completed a residency at the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild in the Hudson Valley.

She has worked as a Teaching Assistant at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and at the International Center of Photography in New York, as a Studio Assistant to Letha Wilson and other artists, and as a Gallery Assistant in Hong Kong and Los Angeles.
